I’ve always been kinda “meh” on Justice. Their first album had some cool moments but it was definitely reductive and uninspired. On’n’on is a departure but it still feels like a cheap knock off of Led Zepplin Kashmir but hold on a minute! Here comes Rick Rubin (RICK RUBIN!) to turn it into a solid disco-funk burner with some weirdo/lonely synths.

I’ve been in a serious Aphex Twin k-hole lately, especially gravitating towards his mid-90s analog stuff. Sometimes I’m blown away by just how current it sounds even though it came out in 1995. Seriously, ‘95!
This is one of my faves. Simple melody, complex beats and with real emotion and humanity. Something most modern electronic is sorely lacking.
